Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform a variety of technical and direct care tasks including CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry support, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with patient mobility and personal hygiene. You will also support administrative duties such as documenting patient data, transcribing physician orders, and coordinating diagnostic tests.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably acute care.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license in the relevant state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices within the nursing assistant scope.
• Ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and caring demeanor.
• Proficiency with technology including electronic medical records and telemetry equipment.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and carrying of 10-35 lbs, occasional lifting over 35 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens with appropriate precautions.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek, located in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest. The role supports a collaborative team environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
