Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Advanced Telemetry Technician. This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring and surveillance of telemetry patients, ensuring timely recognition and reporting of rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff following established protocols.

Job Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters with precision.
• Observe, document, and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Identify rhythm abnormalities promptly and communicate concerns to Registered Nurses.
• Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively.
• Respond swiftly to monitor alarms and emergency situations while maintaining composure.
• Utilize office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, telephones, and computers for documentation and communication.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient monitoring initiation and discontinuation.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper management of patient records.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course is preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Telemetry Technician.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time, day shift position with 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek.
