Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, working the night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a vibrant, community-focused hospital setting with a Level IV trauma designation and comprehensive emergency services.

Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Emergency Department Director, you will deliver general nursing care with initiative and sound judgment. Your expertise in nursing principles, methods, and techniques will be essential in providing timely and accurate care to patients in urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols and your professional experience.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members by providing precise and timely patient information to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, care for, and document patient conditions effectively.
• Prepare equipment and assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output.
• Develop individualized care plans for inpatients within 24 hours of admission.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by appropriately charging supplies and pharmacy items.
• Provide direct patient care adhering to established standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in orientation, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and special projects to foster teamwork and professional growth.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least one year of experience as an RN in an emergency room setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current and unrestricted nursing license in the state of Washington.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications are required.
• TNCC certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
