Position Overview:
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a skilled phlebotomist responsible for drawing and processing blood samples and other specimens for diagnostic testing. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts, providing a balanced work schedule in a supportive environment located in the Pacific Northwest region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks efficiently and with minimal patient discomfort.
• Greet patients warmly, verify their identity accurately, and ensure proper specimen labeling and handling.
• Collect nasal and throat swabs, instruct patients on urine sample collection, and prepare specimens for reference laboratories.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety standards, including proper disposal of needles and biohazard materials.
• Manage workload effectively, prioritizing urgent orders and adapting to schedule changes as needed.
• Respect cultural, religious, and socioeconomic factors affecting patient care and communication.
• Handle legal specimens and chain-of-custody documentation with precision.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program with at least 80 hours of instruction.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Current Health Care Assistant licensure applicable to the region.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
