Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate perioperative care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics in a dynamic surgical environment. This role involves direct patient care throughout the entire perioperative period, including preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative recovery in the PACU.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care with kindness and professionalism, addressing psychosocial and physical needs.
• Continuously communicate with surgical and anesthesia teams regarding patient status.
• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment functionality, restocking supplies, and maintaining aseptic conditions.
• Assist patients during procedures by monitoring, positioning, and providing necessary support.
• Manage preoperative tasks such as obtaining health histories, initiating IVs, and administering medications as ordered.
• Provide postoperative care in Phase I and II recovery, facilitating safe discharge.
• Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control techniques.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality, minimizing healthcare errors.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in a U.S. compact state.
• Current ACLS, NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications within one year of hire.
• Call availability with a 30-minute response time.

Experience

Minimum of one year of operating room experience preferred; willingness to train in perioperative nursing is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, or CNOR and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) are advantageous.
