Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee respiratory therapy personnel and operations to ensure timely, high-quality patient care and compliance with all relevant standards.

Job Summary

In this leadership role, you will manage clinical operations, develop and improve respiratory therapy programs, and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. You will perform and supervise therapy treatments, including advanced airway management and mechanical ventilation, while maintaining quality control across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of respiratory therapy protocols and standards.
• Manage clinical programs and resources to deliver safe and effective care.
• Assess test results and collaborate with providers to determine and administer treatment plans.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and advanced respiratory therapies for adult and geriatric patients.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain and inspect respiratory therapy equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and develop respiratory therapy staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Contribute to budget planning and departmental reporting.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years acute care respiratory experience.
• At least two years of clinical leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted Respiratory Therapy License valid in the state of Washington.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively.

Physical Requirements

Role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and occasional bending or stooping. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.
