Join a dynamic surgical team as an ASCP Certified Surgical Technologist, providing essential support during operative and invasive procedures in a well-equipped operating suite. This role involves preparing the surgical environment, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready, and assisting surgeons throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Professionally interact with patients and their families, offering explanations and reassurance as needed.
• Prepare operating rooms promptly with all necessary instruments, sutures, and equipment tailored to each surgical case.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and handle specimens with accuracy and care.
• Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping for surgery.
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and needles, addressing discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure all surgical equipment functions properly before procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, respecting patient privacy and cultural needs.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous performance improvement activities.
• Respond to on-call duties with a 30-minute response time as required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Registered Surgical Technician status.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Preferred: Minimum one year of experience in operating room or sterile processing environments.
