Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of occupational therapists, you will assist in delivering physical rehabilitation to patients recovering from injury, disease, or physical disability. Your role involves implementing treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, helping patients regain maximum function and adapt to their capabilities.

Essential Functions:

• Apply foundational knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
• Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide treatments as directed, adhering to occupational therapy standards.
• Observe and evaluate patient responses to therapy, communicating findings with therapists.
• Identify barriers to patient progress and coordinate with physicians for necessary interventions.
• Assist in developing and assessing patient and family education plans.
• Encourage and monitor patient activities to ensure proper execution and motivation.
• Respect and address the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Maintain a safe care environment that minimizes medical errors and promotes quality.

Education: Associate's degree from an American Occupational Therapy Association-approved program.

Licensure & Certification: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license valid in the regional area.

Experience & Requirements: Demonstrated punctuality, professionalism, and ability to communicate courteously with patients, guests, and staff. Commitment to ethical standards and organizational goals is essential.

Work Environment: Part-time position with 10-hour day shifts totaling 40 hours per pay period.
