Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Ambulatory Telemetry Technician. This role involves continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and surveillance of telemetry patients, ensuring timely recognition and reporting of rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff following established protocols.

Job Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters.
• Observe, document, and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Recognize rhythm abnormalities and promptly communicate concerns to Registered Nurses.
• Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively.
• Respond appropriately to monitor alarms and emergency situations.
• Maintain composure and communicate clearly in high-pressure environments.
• Utilize office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, telephones, and computers for documentation and communication.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient monitoring initiation and discontinuation.
• Adhere to confidentiality and proper management of patient records.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Telemetry Technician experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a PRN basis.
