This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring and surveillance of telemetry patients, ensuring timely recognition and reporting of rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff according to established protocols.

Job Summary

As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for observing, documenting, and interpreting cardiac rhythms, operating monitoring equipment, and responding promptly to alarms and emergency situations. Effective communication and composure in high-stress environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters.
• Recognize and report rhythm abnormalities to Registered Nurses promptly.
• Operate and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient monitoring and communications.
• Support team activities and foster a positive work environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Telemetry Technician experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a PRN basis.
