Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform a variety of clinical and technical tasks including CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry patient observation, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures. You will also support patients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and meal preparation, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of NA-C licensure and delegated nursing tasks.
• Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and inventory management.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document patient care activities accurately and assist with administrative duties including scheduling and data entry.
• Respond promptly to emergency codes and support team members during breaks.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols consistently.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of patient care experience preferred, with acute care and telemetry experience highly valued.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices and ability to maintain required competencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a caring and professional demeanor.
• Ability to manage challenging situations while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, telemetry equipment, and standard office software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.

This full-time position offers a 0.9 FTE day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role is based in a vibrant healthcare setting serving the Pacific Northwest region, offering a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth.
