Essential Job Functions

• Apply expertise in physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot physical therapy equipment.
• Supervise certified Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides within the department.
• Evaluate patient conditions and develop tailored rehabilitation plans to improve strength, flexibility, motor control, and reduce pain or swelling.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and recommend adjustments to physicians as necessary.
• Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments for diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics, and general patients.
• Identify pain levels impacting rehabilitation participation and coordinate with physicians for intervention.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program or college with a Physical Therapy certificate is required.

Licensure and Certifications

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.

Experience

Clinical internships in both outpatient and inpatient settings during education are required. One or more years of professional experience in physical therapy is preferred.
