Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory treatments, collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient-centered care. You will manage respiratory equipment, conduct pulmonary function tests, and participate in discharge planning by educating patients and caregivers on home care and therapy continuation.

Education

• Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program.

Experience

• Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current unrestricted state respiratory care practitioner license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential upon hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required within one year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs and respond to treatment effectively across all age groups.
• Proficiency with respiratory therapy equipment and technology, including electronic medical records.
