Job Summary

As a vital member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care within the scope of your medical assistant license, accurately carrying out provider orders and facilitating patient flow to optimize clinic operations. You will assist with treatments and procedures, prepare patients for exams, administer immunizations under supervision, and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties and assist providers as directed.
• Facilitate patient flow and communicate wait times effectively.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained.
• Administer immunizations within scope and maintain accurate medication records.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and infection control.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing.
• Participate in special projects and support a positive team environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

• Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice.
• Proficiency with technology including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Work Environment

This position offers 8-hour shifts in a 40-hour workweek on a PRN basis.
