Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Endoscopy Technician, supporting GI physicians under the guidance of Registered Nurses. This role involves assisting with a range of endoscopic procedures, from basic to advanced therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining scopes, managing equipment performance, ensuring proper storage and transport, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory levels. Your technical skills will be essential in troubleshooting equipment and understanding GI anatomy and medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during procedures, prepare rooms and patients, and anticipate procedural needs.
• Provide clear explanations and emotional support to patients, ensuring comfort and cooperation.
• Take and record vital signs, assist with admissions and discharges, and accurately collect and label specimens.
• Maintain strict infection control practices, disinfect scopes, and support sterile processing.
• Manage equipment and supplies across procedure rooms, utility areas, and recovery spaces.
• Participate in educational programs, unit meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teamwork, foster positive work relationships, and contribute to a respectful and collaborative environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Medical Assistant program required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Surgical Technologist Registration, Nursing Assistant Certification, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure required.
• Endoscopy Technician Certificate preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
