Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional, compassionate care, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring accurate documentation. The RN supports continuity of care by preparing equipment, assisting with examinations, and following physician orders promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to education, experience, and approved nursing techniques.
• Provide timely and accurate information to physicians and healthcare team members to promote excellent patient care.
• Document patient care, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission.
• Deliver direct patient care following established standards and legal requirements, including obtaining appropriate consents.
• Participate in orientation, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and special projects to foster teamwork and professional growth.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience of one year or more is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of Washington.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to meet patient needs.
• Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, and reaching as required by patient care duties.

Work Environment

This position offers 12-hour shifts on a part-time, PRN basis within a supportive healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest region. The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing learning, and a commitment to ethical, professional, and respectful conduct.
