Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate efficient patient flow. You will prepare patients for exams, document vital signs, administer immunizations under supervision, and maintain accurate electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders promptly and accurately.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
• Notify patients of test results as directed by providers.
• Administer immunizations within scope and maintain proper documentation.
• Manage exam room supplies, conduct daily room checks, and maintain cleanliness in collaboration with environmental services.
• Communicate effectively with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing of consults and diagnostics.
• Adhere to infection control practices and participate in special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
