This full-time, night-shift role involves conducting thorough security rounds both inside and outside the facility, often on foot or by vehicle, to ensure safety and respond promptly to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and patrols of assigned areas to maintain a visible security presence.
• Act as a liaison and public relations representative, providing courteous and effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff regarding safety concerns.
• Respond swiftly to calls for assistance and collaborate with medical personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, and management.
• Ensure all doors and windows are secure and intact during rounds.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license mandatory.
• Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.
• One to three years of experience in law enforcement or security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications and Training

• HIPAA, Restraint Training, and Emergency Code Training to be completed within six months.
• Preferred: IAHSS Basic Security Officer certification.
• Preferred: Experience in hospital security and healthcare-focused de-escalation training such as AVADE or CPI.
