Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a Medical Assistant, providing essential support to healthcare providers and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient experience. This part-time PRN role involves performing patient care duties within the scope of medical assistant licensure, assisting with treatments and procedures, and facilitating clinic operations to optimize patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following providers' orders.
- Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
- Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
- Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards.
- Support teamwork, adapt to changes, and contribute positively to the work environment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice.
- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment tasks.
