This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring of patients, recognizing and reporting rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff following established protocols.

Job Summary

Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters continuously. Accurately observe, document, and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting abnormalities to the Registered Nurse. Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, respond to alarms and emergency situations with composure, and maintain clear communication in high-stress environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous surveillance of telemetry patients' cardiac rhythms.
• Recognize and report rhythm abnormalities promptly.
• Operate monitoring devices and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient monitoring and communications.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Telemetry Technician experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
