Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will assist healthcare providers by performing patient care duties within the scope of your license. Your responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, assisting with treatments and procedures, administering immunizations under supervision, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks as directed by providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document vital signs and presenting complaints.
• Administer immunizations following provider orders and state regulations.
• Maintain and update electronic health records daily.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
• Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and ensure cleanliness and infection control.
• Support teamwork by fostering positive relationships and adapting to changes in the work environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
