Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be actively enrolled in a nursing program or have graduated within the past 30 days.

Experience and Requirements

• Maintain eligibility and qualifications as defined by nursing program standards and state regulations.
• Perform nursing functions aligned with current education and verified competencies.
• Administer medications safely, excluding chemotherapy, intravenous, and scheduled drugs, following the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Observe and report medication effects and patient responses promptly to supervising RN.
• Assist with patient care activities including transfers, hygiene, feeding, and positioning, ensuring dignity and safety.
• Document care accurately and adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
