Job Summary

Provide thorough Occupational Therapy care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include conducting intakes and evaluations, interpreting test results, setting goals with patients, implementing care plans, educating patients on risks and benefits, and monitoring progress. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapy programs tailored to patients’ capacities and interests, focusing on daily living skills, sensorimotor skills, cognition, and therapeutic adaptations.
• Utilize physical agents, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise as appropriate.
• Ensure therapy plans are followed and adjusted based on patient progress.
• Educate and counsel caregivers and family members to support safety and function in home environments.
• Evaluate therapy effectiveness and collaborate with providers and rehabilitation managers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of clinical excellence, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration to stay current with best practices.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of occupational therapy practice experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Washington (or applicable regional licensure) upon hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
