Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Advanced Emergency Department Technician. This role involves delivering direct patient care and supporting clinical staff in a busy emergency setting. You will work under the guidance of Registered Nurses and Physicians, contributing to a positive and efficient patient care environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care tasks within your scope and competency, including CPR, vital signs monitoring, fluid intake/output measurement, cardiac telemetry, EKG acquisition, wound care, splinting, bladder scanning, and assisting with procedures.
• Assist with triage by greeting and escorting patients, helping with gowning, and orienting patients to their rooms and call systems.
• Support patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Maintain patient comfort through pain relief measures, hygiene care, and therapeutic ambulation.
• Handle administrative duties including documentation, scheduling tests and procedures, and coordinating patient transport.
• Respond promptly to emergency codes and support team members during breaks.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and unit supplies, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry systems, recognize arrhythmias, and communicate findings to clinical staff.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program with active certification.
• Two years of experience in patient care settings preferred, especially in acute care, emergency departments, or as a first responder.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification to be obtained within six months of hire.
