Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate perioperative care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics in a dynamic surgical environment. This role involves direct patient care throughout the entire perioperative period, including preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative recovery in the PACU.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care with kindness and professionalism, addressing psychosocial and physical needs.
• Continuously communicate with surgical and anesthesia teams regarding patient status.
• Prepare patients for surgery by obtaining health histories, initiating IVs, and administering pre-op medications.
• Monitor and assist patients during surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Manage post-anesthesia care, supporting patients through phases I and II until discharge.
• Maintain operating room readiness by assessing equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
• Observe and respond to physiological and behavioral changes, including pain assessment and management.
• Support a culture of safety and quality, adhering to infection control and regulatory standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in a U.S. compact state.
• Current ACLS, NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications within one year of hire.
• Call availability with a 30-minute response time.

Experience

Minimum of one year of operating room nursing experience preferred; willingness to train in perioperative nursing is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, or CNOR and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) are advantageous.
