Description

• Administer comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using standardized tools and clinical observation.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
• Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored to each patient's unique goals and background.
• Work hand-in-hand with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nursing staff, caregivers, and families to ensure seamless, whole-person care.
• Provide meaningful education and coaching to patients and their support systems to reinforce progress beyond scheduled sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to support continuity across care settings.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and collaborative learning to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification has not yet been awarded.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Washington.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
