Description

• Design and implement individualized therapy plans that address communication, language, fluency, voice, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing disorders.
• Deliver one-on-one speech-language therapy interventions tailored to each patient's goals, background, and pace of progress.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team that includes physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and family members to ensure holistic treatment.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic gains between sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on an as-needed basis, maintaining seamless continuity of care.
• Produce accurate, timely clinical documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational compliance standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to remain current with evidence-based practices in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active Washington State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
