Description

• Conduct assessments and evaluations for a diverse patient demographic including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, employing both standardized techniques and observational methods.
• Craft customized treatment plans tailored to meet patients’ immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice treatment, and swallowing interventions.
• Engage in a collaborative partnership with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to establish comprehensive care regimens.
• Provide educational materials and resources to patients and families, bolstering progress outside the clinical setting.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to guarantee continuity of care throughout patients’ healing journeys.
• Produce precise and timely clinical documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain updated on industry advancements through continual education and collaborative learning experiences.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
