Position Overview

We are actively seeking a talented and patient-focused Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join an established and growing imaging department in Tacoma, WA. What You'll Be Responsible For

• Conducting diagnostic ultrasound exams across a broad range of specialties including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritizing patient comfort and dignity throughout every procedure, walking individuals through each step with patience and professionalism
• Partnering with radiologists and referring providers to produce high-quality, diagnostically sound images
• Monitoring, operating, and maintaining imaging equipment while flagging technical issues promptly
• Maintaining thorough and accurate patient documentation within the electronic health records system
• Actively pursuing continuing education and staying current with evolving sonographic technologies and protocols

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or recognized equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
