Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing compassionate and expert respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients. This role involves delivering a wide range of respiratory therapies under physician orders, including oxygen and aerosol therapies, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation.

Job Summary

As a respiratory therapist, you will plan, implement, and evaluate therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams. Your focus will be on delivering patient-centered care that supports pulmonary function restoration, pain alleviation, and life support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results to develop and administer respiratory therapy treatment plans.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and manage respiratory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Administer treatments such as bronchopulmonary drainage, breathing exercises, and monitor physiological responses.
• Participate in discharge planning and educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and assistive equipment.
• Contribute to departmental policy development, training programs, and workflow coordination.
• Work flexible 12-hour shifts covering day and night schedules.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current unrestricted state respiratory care practitioner license.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories, clinical skills, and equipment operation.
• Ability to assess patient needs and tailor treatments across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Leadership qualities including facilitation, delegation, and coaching.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing environments.
