Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of occupational therapists, you will assist in delivering physical rehabilitation to patients recovering from injury, disease, or physical disabilities. You will implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, helping patients regain maximum function and adapt to their capabilities.

Essential Functions:

• Apply foundational knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
• Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide treatments as directed by occupational therapists, adhering to professional standards.
• Observe and evaluate patient responses to therapy, communicating findings with therapists.
• Identify patient challenges affecting rehabilitation progress and coordinate with physicians as needed.
• Assist in developing and assessing patient and family education plans.
• Encourage and monitor patient activities to ensure proper execution.
• Respect and address the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
• Maintain a safe care environment that minimizes medical errors and promotes quality.

Education: Associate's degree from an American Occupational Therapy Association-approved program.

Licensure & Certification: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license valid in the relevant region.

Experience: Prior experience preferred but not mandatory; ability to adhere to professional ethics and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff is essential.
