Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an ARDMS Certified Ultrasound Technologist. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic sonography exams to capture detailed images of anatomy and pathology for radiologist interpretation, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of sonography exams including abdomen, breast, renal, obstetric, gynecologic, thyroid, scrotal, venous doppler, limited venous arterial, and prostate imaging.
• Assist radiologists with invasive sonography procedures as needed.
• Prepare and select appropriate ultrasound equipment and transducers based on exam requirements.
• Accurately enter patient data and exam details into ultrasound systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Monitor ultrasound images in real-time to ensure diagnostic quality and submit completed exams to PACS.
• Communicate effectively with patients by explaining procedures and assisting them in positioning.
• Utilize EHR systems to track patient check-in, code procedures, and manage exam documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify orders and discuss exam results when appropriate.
• Provide courteous and respectful patient care, including assisting with patient transportation when necessary.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited sonography program with successful completion of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in at least one discipline.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ultrasound procedures is essential.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and at least one year of sonography experience.
• Familiarity with software such as Stentor, EPIC, Microsoft Office, and internet applications is highly desirable.
