Join a dynamic healthcare team serving the Pacific Northwest region, offering comprehensive care through a critical access hospital with advanced trauma and cardiac services. This full-time RN role acts as a vital resource for patients within a regional clinic system, providing triage support both by phone and in person to address clinical concerns promptly.
Job Summary: As a Resource RN, you will manage provider workload messages, patient portal communications, and electronic medical records with accuracy and professionalism. You will assist providers by facilitating medication refills for chronic conditions and perform other nursing duties following established protocols. This role requires proficiency with clinical technology and sound judgment based on scientific knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone and occasional in-person triage, assessing symptoms and directing patients to appropriate care.
- Manage and respond to provider workload and patient portal messages within the electronic medical record system.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date electronic records.
- Conduct complex medication reconciliation and refill provider-approved medications.
- Oversee medication management during onsite clinic visits as needed.
- Participate in and support ongoing in-service education programs.
- Collaborate with clinic management to develop and evaluate training initiatives.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Successful completion of a two-year RN program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications: Must hold a current, unrestricted RN license valid in the state of Washington. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is encouraged.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective partnerships with healthcare providers, managers, and patients. Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically 10-hour shifts.
